ABOUT THE ARDMORE Rod & Gun Club Stables : located just off of I -35 on 170 acres in the foothills of the Arbuckle mountains in southern Oklahoma. Ardmore Rod & Gun Club was founded in 1906 as a corporation. It was a gentlemen's retreat with two 20 acre lakes encompassing 6 docks and 45 boat stalls. A caretakers home once stood beside the old stone clubhouse where the gentlemen's only members were welcomed across the land. If you were a member of 1 you were a member of all Rod & Gun Clubs. Throughout the east as they were built west, members traveled by horseback and covered wagons overnighting at Rod & Gun Clubs. This original clubhouse has been transformed into the home of David & Samantha Crook and their fabulous herd of Gypsy Vanners, Tennessee Walkers, Missouri Fox Trotters and sport-hunting dogs. The Stables were added onto the property in 2010. They offer top grade Gypsy Vanners horses.
